VERONA

Set in an area rich in historical evidence and beautiful landscapes, Verona is one of the most valuable and well-known Italian cities of art. Not far from Lake Garda, it offers fantastic scenery – a fairy-tale succession of vineyards, orchards, olive groves, meadows and beech woods – for those who love trekking and hiking. Built in ancient times in a cradle on the banks of Adige, Verona has among its symbols the Arena: a roman amphitheater, located in the historic center, in summer stage of great shows, concerts and opera seasons; a world-famous icon together with the figures of Romeo and Juliet, with a romantic balcony that evokes the most famous love story written by Shakespeare. Verona has been a UNESCO site since 2000.
