RESIA ROSOLINA RELAY, REGISTRATION ALREADY OPEN
FOR THE 2023 EDITION SCHEDULED FOR 8 AND 9 SEPTEMBER

The ‘Resia Rosolina Relay – Along Adige River’ has already opened registration for the fourth edition, scheduled for Friday 8 and Saturday 9 September 2023, and teams wishing to take part in this great race, the only one of its kind in Italy, can find all the information on the event’s website, www.resiarosolinarelay.it, and on the Endu portal at the following link: https://join.endu.net/entry?edition=79838

Organised by ASD VRM TEAM in collaboration with ASV Rennerclub Vinschgau, ASD Polisportiva Adige, and RUN IT Rovigo, the Resia Rosolina Relay is truly a unique experience for runners. In fact, it is a long relay race of 430 kilometers, divided into 40 stages that will follow one another without interruption, during which the competitors will be able to immerse themselves in a fascinating environment, through an evocative route that unravels along the course of the Adige, the second longest river in Italy. It will start from Resia, in Val Venosta, at the source of the river, to arrive at Rosolina, on the Adriatic in the province of Rovigo, crossing two regions, Trentino-Alto Adige and Veneto, and five provinces: Bolzano, Trento, Verona, Venice and Rovigo.

Teams of 10 runners are permitted, each of whom will cover the distance of approximately 10 kilometers four times during the course of the race. After each fraction covered and before tackling another one, each athlete will see the nine teammates take the field one after the other. At the end of the race, everyone will have covered the classic marathon distance, divided into the four fractions in which they have competed. The inspiration comes from the legendary ‘Hood to Coast Relay’, which takes place every year at the end of August in Oregon. Transferred to Italy, the idea has become a long relay race that, in addition to its competitive significance, enhances the spirit of sociality and group spirit: for over a day and a half, the members of each team will live together a unique experience, linked to the race and everything that revolves around it, from an organizational and logistical point of view. All this while keeping the Great River at the centre of the journey, along a route that will be for 95% on cycle roads, enjoying unforgettable views.

Registration for the race will cost 450 euros per team until 31 May, then increase to 550 euros until 16 July and finally to 650 euros until 31 August, the last day before registration closes.
