RELAY RUNNING EVENT

The race draws reference from an event started in 1982 in Oregon USA: the Hoodtocoast. It is now in its 40th year and is ranked as the world’s largest relay, with athletes from all over the globe.

OUR FORMAT:

430 km total from the source to the mouth of the Adige River 1 team of 10 runners divided into 2 crews 40 stages of about 10 km each Each runner runs 4 non-consecutive stages with a rest interval of 90 km between each The race takes place 95% on bike paths that flank the river The race takes place during the day and at night

430 KILOMETERS IN 40 ROUTESStartfrom Resia, Vinschgau, at the source of the river, and finish at the mouth, in Rosolina. Crossing two regions, Trentino-Alto Adige and Veneto, and five provinces-Bolzano, Trento, Verona, Venice and Rovigo. The first teams are scheduled to start at 4 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 2, with the last team in the race expected to arrive by 11 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 3. More than 95 percent of the running distance takes place on bike paths that run along the Adige River.
